Hah...hah...Has anyone...ha...seen a glove? ...Black...hah... with a sun on the back. Fits on the right hand. [ He takes a breath. ] Please! It's important to me! Anyone there? [ The video feed turns off, just as the boy was going to say more. ]

[ Shingo can later be found in the plaza, still soaked, still half naked, glove on his left hand, nothing on the other. He keeps calling out to people passing by, asking if they've seen a glove identical to the one he's wearing. His expression looks crestfallen, he has no idea what he's gonna do if he doesn't find it. ]

O-oh! Fingerless! It's not very warm, or a boxing glove, but it is used for fighting! Not by me though, but by Kyo-senpai, cause he uses his flames to fight!

Ahahaha, no, not at all! Well, kind of, but it's his special ability! He doesn't set it on fire with a match or anything, his body can produce fire! I'm trying myself to learn how to do that!

Seriously? You want to learn to set yourself on fire?

The fire doesn't harm the body. It's really weird, like magic, but it's so cool! And it lets him beat his opponents easily! He's the current strongest fighter in the world, The King of Fighters they call him! He's been the reigning champion for the past three tournaments!

It's my dream to, but admittedly, I still have a looong way to go. But I did manage to get into the top 20 in my first tournament, and that really impressed him. He was the one who taught me how to fight!

So yes, this glove is important to me. It was his gift to me for getting so far for my first tournament.

Just that this is another world completely, and that we were kidnapped by scientists and taken here. They said it was the "Malnosso" though, I've never heard of them. We had a really similar organization back in Japan though, they called themselves NESTS. They kidnapped people for their experiments too, it was horrible.
